Participants can advance PPT slides from their keyboard

Participants can changes PPT slides from their keyboard.  Their action changes the HOST view to that slide also.

I don't know if the screens for other participants change too, but assume so.

Why is this permitted, and how to stop it?  Dark gray SYNC is on the entire time. That should stop participants from affecting the host screen.
