When uploading powerpoint files, we use a custom templet for all presentations, the fonts are lost. How can we insure that the fonts stay the same?

Yes, you will have to embed the fonts into your file before saving it...this happens a lot, when I email a powerpoint to someone who doesn't have the same fonts...or settings...just embed them and it should all be cool.

    Damon,

Quick question: Are you hosting your own content, or are you using Adobe's server?

I ask, because at one point, Adobe had a Tech Note regarding the use of fonts (see Tech Note http://www.adobe.com/go/1dd95057), but admittedly, that was an issue back with Breeze 5.1.

I did some digging around and came up with another Tech Note regarding font usage:
http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_18722, but I think that was also another Breeze 5.1 issue.

As far as I understood, I could have sworn I saw some information about font issues being rectified if content was hosted on their servers, but that also meant if you were using a "non-standard" font (meaning anything other than Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, Times, etc), then that font set had to be installed on the server displaying your content, otherwise, everything would default to Arial or Times as needed.

When you say "upload powerpoint files" are you talking about posting your deck to the Content Library for viewing in a virtual meeting, or is the content being used merely as Training / e-Learning material?

I'll try to do some more poking around and see if I find anything else related to this.

We are getting this similar situation in which a power point we uploaded into our Content Library in Connect Pro does not retain the fonts used in the original powerpoint file.  We use Adobe's server for our Connect Pro account, and the font we are using is Myriad Pro.  For the past 5 months, it has always worked just fine, but they installed an update on their server this past weekend and now our power points are working differently.  Is there any way to get this to work using Myriad Pro, like it used to?  Or is our only option to change our powerpoint presentations to use Arial?  (seems odd that it used to work at one point and now it no longer does)... any help from anyone would be great...

    Thanks!
