Whenever I upload a PowerPoint into my content I lose a lot of the formatting I have created. How can I prevent this? I am saving it in a .pptx format.

FYI, if you are uploading in a meeting then try uploading in Connect Add-in rather than meeting launched in a browser.

I don't understand this message. How does one upload in the Connect Add-in without being in a meeting launched in a browser?

The add-in is a small application that allows you to share your screen, have the meeting launch in its own stand alone window, and for you to share PPTX files. You should be prompted in the room if you need it, and it is a one-time download/install (until a new version of it is required). With the add-in installed, you will access the meeting through your browser and it will then call the add-in.

You can use this page to verify that you do or do not have it and install it if you need it. It will be step 4 in this wizard and step 3 may take a minute. http://realeyesconnect.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm

In addition to saving as a PPT (PowerPoint 97-2003 versions, I think), you can also embed the fonts you've used, so slightly different ones aren't used in the PPTX --> Flash conversion. This option exists in different places in different PowerPoint versions. My 2010 version has it under the "Tools" drop-down jus left of the Save button. This sometimes helps with PPTs that have text tight against table cell borders or inside objects.

Save them as PPT and then try uploading.
