problem in uploading file through API

I want to upload files in to mycontent folder through our application.After each steps followed, i get the status message ok from the server, but file is not uploaded. Is there any idea about this? Please help.

    what do you mean exactly with 'the file is not uploaded'?
    you checked in the content directory and the file isn't there?
    if so, could you please post your server side upload code?
