Problem with Screen Share using Mac

I have a colleague who was trying to screen share using a mac, and the screen just looked fuzzy. We tried to trouble-shoot to no avail. He also has a Windows computer, and that worked fine. Does anybody have any ideas of why a screen share might not work well in Mac.
