Saludos

Since Flash Player update to version 10.3.181.14, I can not see the recordings of meetings held in Adobe Connect 8, no load presentations, hear audio and see the windows, but no presentations.

request an urgent solution, I have recorded lectures and students can not see them.

Last week-end, the Flash Player team released an update to Flash Player 10.3.  This update breaks the rendering of powerpoint content displayed in a Share pod in a meeting or a recording on Adobe Connect 8 or later.

Users impacted are only those running this version of the Flash Player (10.3.181.22 or 10.2.181.23 or 10.3.185.23) and accessing an Adobe Connect 8 meeting (earlier version are fine): they will see only a grey screen in lieu of the content.  The work around is for these user to access the Adobe Connect meeting using the Adobe Connect Meeting add-in.

Both the Connect Engineering team and the Flash Player team are working to resolve the issue.  A work-around will be enabled this week-end on all Adobe Cluster; a patch will be available for license customers.  A new version of the Flash Player will be released early July to correct the issue.

For more details, please consult the following tech note: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/907/cpsid_90732.html

For even more technical details, read below:

A major change we made between Adobe Connect 8 and earlier version of Adobe Connect was to port the meeting client to an ActionScript 3 framework; it used to be AS 2 based in version 6 and 7.  This enables us to provide a lot more interactivity in the meeting room like drag and drop,  improved accessibility, as well as a gorgeous user interface.
Powerpoint files, however still converts to AS2 and we need to support a lot of legacy content created in AS2.  As a result we built a way to render AS2 content within an AS3 framework.  The recent update of the Flash Player broke that rendering. Only the users trying to access the meeting with that version of the Flash Player will be impacted.  Users accessing with the Meeting Add-in or any other version of Flash are fine.
