Question
Problems with Windows Vista
I'm running Breeze 5 as a host/presenter on two computers.
One is a 1.7 Ghz PC with 1 GB of RAM running the commercial release
of Windows Vista with IE 7.0. This PC is running the Aero interface
with a descent video card with 256MB of RAM. PC two is a 1.1 Ghz
notebook with 512 MB of RAM running XP SP2 with IE 7.0.
The PC running Vista is running all applications fine with good performance except when I start a meeting with Breeze. When I start the meeting my CPU utilization of Breeze shoots above 60% of the CPU (in Task Manager) and remains there when everything is idle. When I try to use my microphone to speak, CPU goes to 100% and the audio is choppy. No other applications including virus software are running on this machine at the time. I start the session after a clean reboot.
The notebook running XP doing the same thing has good performance with CPU in the low 20% range. Using the same microphone I have no audio issues. This is with Norton Internet Security and other applications running.
Does anyone else have experience as a meeting attendee using Windows Vista?
Thanks
