Remove Acrobat Connect Toolbar

The Acrobat Connect 'start meeting' toolbar shows up on my Adobe toolbar in word by default. I know you can disable this by 'unchecking' the toolbar manually. The issue is I want this turned off by default for all users. Is there a registry entry for this or something I can change in the deployment package (.msi) with the adobe Customization Wizard? The only registry entry I found actually disables the full Adobe PDF toolbar from loading, I just want to disable the 'Connect' portion. Thanks in advance.

    to remove the toolbars (and other "buttons"), go to control panel, add-remove programs, do a change/remove on Adobe Acrobat. Use Modify option. Find option "Acrobat PDF Maker" under Create Adobe PDF, mark main option or all suboptions as not available, then update. This will remove those annoying toolbars & buttons while leaving the pdf print feature intact.

    You should probably use the Add-Ins options to disable the Acrobat Add-In.

    BTW Connect is not installed on your computer.

    I totally agree with PH user and there are no "Add-in options" for the Acrobat add-in. I installed Acrobat 8 Professional from the Adobe CS3 Master Collection. There are NO options for choosing specific components to add or remove during installation or using the Add or Remove Programs control panel. And in Word 2003, in Tools | Templates and Add-ins, the Acrobat add-in is not there - even while there are 2 new Adobe menus (Adobe PDF and Acrobat Comments). I should be able to remove specific components I do not want but it seems there is no way to do so in CS3.

    I'm not sure this is possible since Connect is now part of the Acrobat Family. Putting a Connect option in Acrobat Pro and Reader is one of Adobe's methods of advertising this product better. If it would be anywhere it would be with the toolbar management

    Arrrrggghhh! How do I get rid of this horrid HORRID toolbar in MS Word? This is just awful! I should be able to control which toolbars show in Word, without needing Adobe's permission. At least, it should not keep MOVING ITSELF to a SEPARATE LINE from all the OTHER toolbars. My company does not use "Connect" nor do we ever intend to. Can I just uninstall "Connect" and all the other unused features and just have Acrobat Pro? - If not, why was it designed this way? This is poor customer service, backing your customers into a corner. So much for their "advertising" ...
