Is it possible to have a second camera and voice pod so that the presenter has a larger video image than the other participants?

You can use as many webcams as you like in Connect.

The trick is that you have to use a different port on the same PC/Mac. Otherwise the OS many times will not let you access the second USB webcam.

In my case, I have a Firewire port and I connect a Sony camcorder that uses firewire. When I am in Connect I can choose either the iSight built-in webcam or the firewire based camcorder.

If you want to use two cameras like this you have to understand that you need to launch one meeting and attach to the first webcam. Then you need to launch another different browser (use Firefox or Chrome) and then select the other webcam.

Be careful because you now have two video and audio feeds from the same computer and you will get dual sound unless you mute one of them in the browser.

Becuase your camera is connected to the Flash Player, and the Flash Player can only handle one camera stream, that is why you need a second browser instance so you are then launching another Flash Player.  You have to use the ?launcher=false option as well so you are then not using the Host Add-in in the second option.

Beware that different PC and camera manufacturers handle their video drivers differently. Some USB cameras can co-exist on the same PC just fine but many times the built-in webcam will get replaced by any external webcam you plug in. It's that way on the Mac. Not all PC's handle it that way though.

    Doug,

There is a custom pod from Refined Data (fee-based) that allows you to have a second video pod and allows you to resize the webcam view to be larger than the rest.  Take a look... http://www.refineddata.com/adobe-connect/talking-stick
