Second Camera Stream:

Question please.

Are there plans to introduce a second camera stream to adobe connect rooms?

The desire is to enable one camera to be in the participant main area and another in the host /presenter area.

Two camera pods would enable a host to make themselves visible in the partipant space but cameras for participants only visible in the host/preswenter area unless moved into the main room.

Thank you

With the Adobe Connect 12.8 release, a new feature was introduced that allows you to pop out up to two video cells from the video pod and place them anywhere on the screen. This functionality can help achieve the setup you're looking for. You can see a demonstration of this feature in this video on Adobe Connect’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBJmr61a1N8

However, please note that camera sharing is only available to participants (with camera rights) when a video pod is active in the layout. If participants attempt to share their camera while the video pod is in the Backstage (and not visible to them), it raises privacy concerns. To address this, the camera sharing option is hidden in such cases. A practical workaround could be to include a small video pod in the layout where participant videos can be displayed. The host can then pop out their own video and make it larger.

Since presenters have access to Backstage, this use case can be achieved for them. The video pod can be placed in the Backstage, allowing hosts and presenters to turn on their cameras and view them privately. Any video that needs to be shared with participants can be popped out and placed in the participant area as needed.
