Hello,

I have a user that is sharing a Powerpoint document that has Smart Art graphics on one slide and text on all the rest.  If the user shares that document in a meeting then the graphics do not display on that slide, even though everything else is fine.  The only work around they have found is to share the screen and choose 'Application'.  Does anyone know why it would work one way and not the other.  thank you for your assistance

When you upload a presentation to Connect, it uses the Adobe Presenter technology to convert the PPT to Flash. Adobe Connect cannot convert vector graphics to Flash and so it outright rejects the file or it converts and drops what it cannot convert. Screen sharing is recommended if you want to use those pictures as the file does not get converted. Understand that when yous creen share you give up the massive reduction is network bandwidth you gain by using Flash streaming. It's a tradeoff you make when you decide which to use.

the easiest solution for you would be to save your file as .ppt and then upload to connect.

the more difficult option is to install adobe presenter on your system and publish-to-server from it.
