Sharing Courses through Adobe Connect virtual classroom?

Hi there,

I have created some courses in Adobe Captivate and have published them to my trial Adobe Connect account for testing.

Now after creating a virtual classroom there is the function to "share a course", however my courses do not appear. It says "only supported course formats will appear".

What are these supported course formats? I have looked on the web and in the help files, but cannot seem to find an answer?

Ah, the HTML5 is the problem. Connect is a Flash application, and doesn't support HTML5. If you publish a SWF version of your Captivate project and make it a Course, it should load in the room.

You would first have to make a Course from the Captivate presentation. It sounds like you have already loaded it into your Content Library, so now you just need to go to the Training Library and go through the New Course wizard. Full process is described here: Adobe Connect 9 * Creating a course

Then in the Virtual Classroom, you would select Share a Course and browse to your newly created course. I recall that there is some issue with the reporting or tracking of Captivate content that is pulled into a Virtual Classroom as a course, so you'll have to double check that everything reports as expected.

Hi Jorma thanks for your response.

I have created a Course through the Training Library and have added my Captivate content to the Course. It still for some reason does not appear when I select Share a Course in a Virtual Classroom.

Are the only particular files/content types that can be shared? Or should I be able to share my HTML5 Captivate content?
