Sony Handycam and connect 9

Hi There,

For the last four years we have been using a Sony handycam, a DV camera for use in Adobe Connect. It allows us to capture nice, rich video feed for our meetings. Since we've been upgraded to connect 9 however, the camera image is distorted. The zoom controls on the camera do not work and regardless of the zoom setting, the display inside of Adobe Connect is zoomed ALL THE WAY IN. As a result, participants can see my nose. They see nothing but my nose. Our solution is to physically move the camera to the back of the room, about 10 feet away. However, becuase the display is zoomed all the way in, the image is pretty grainy.

Has anyone figured out a work-around for this or a similar issue. Drivers appear up to date for the camera. We're using Windows 7, hosted on AC9. Thanks!

Daniel

Can you reduce the resolution of the image being captured by the camera? It may be that Connect is only accepting 320 X 240 or 640 X 480 pixels. If the camera only does a digital zoom, then, since the image is already a portion of the actual capture, you are not seeing the zoom.
