Hello,

I was using Adobe Connect Pro 7 SP1 .I recently installed on another server Adobe Connect Pro 9 .

Adobe Connect Pro 9 was installed on an new database ,different from the 7 one .Will it work to just connect the pro 9 to the older database and just work ?

Basically I want to connect the new application to the old database... Will it work ?

It may, you can always try and see if it wakes up and works.

If it doesn't then you may want to uninstall/reinstall Connect and hook it into the DB in the install wizard. This will cause it to run some update scripts on your DB, which can resolve any communication issues.

I'm not sure if you would need to do the 'upgrade' path from C 7.1 to C 9.1 as there may be other SQL update scripts that would be needed between the versions, but I would reach out to Adobe for that information. The C 9.1 installer may include all the necessary scripts for the SQL DB.

Thanks for your reply. It gives the same error that it cannot connect to the database like in the other thread if I try and connect it through the installer. So it doesn`t work through the installer.
