Stream a pre-recorded video - showing as grey box

Hello,

Is it possible to stream a pre-recorded video in Connect on a Mac? I've been trying to help a friend who is a teacher and needs to share pre-recorded instructional content with their class. The school uses Connect and every time they try to show it, it comes up grey. They've tried QuickTime and VLC.

Any ideas?

Have they tried uploading the MP4 to the share pod? Sharing video through screen sharing is going to be a bad experience at the best of times.

Thank you for the suggestion! I will recommend trying that, although it may be hard because they normally start and pause the video for conversation/practice (it's a language class). This is a big part of why they want to streams—so they can control that everyone sees the same at the same time.

That is how MP4s work in the share pod. The meeting Hosts and Presenters control the playback of the video synchronously for all attendees. They can play and pause the video as needed. They can even use the whiteboard to draw on it, should that be a selling point.
