System for downloading Connect MP4s automatically

For a few years Capitol Technology University has been automatically downloading our course recordings in MP4 format using the Adobe API. Then, in our Canvas integration, we offer our students a chance to download them with one click. We strive to make the recordings available within 48 hours after the class, but it is typically quicker. And if the server crashes, it can be a little longer.

I've finally put the programs up in GitHub. I don't know how useful these will be, because my documentation is spotty at best, but here's the link in GitHub:

For the offline MP4 recordings that are made what settings does the program input?  Pls see Specifications for Offline MP4 Conversion for Connect Recordings | Adobe Connect Blog by Adobe

Sorry, I didn't see this message until now. I haven't played with this dialogue box, so the program uses the default settings.

It seems you could use this dialogue to permanently set the settings by simply clicking the "Set As Default" checkbox from the account and device that is running the recordings.

That is a great resource, thanks for sharing!  Did you know eSync has an LTI integration that does this and a lot more?

For sure. We have our own in-house integration with Canvas, but are considering switching to eSync. We have a hours and hours of recordings every weekday, so the cost-per-minute model for their automatic downloading service is prohibitive for us.
