Trouble loading Captivate 5 content

I am attempting to load an eLearning course in Connect Pro but I am having a few issues.

I used the publish dialog for Adobe Connect and added my Connect Server information.  This allowed me to load the course however, the FLV files that are referenced and played in the course do not work.  I checked the box for publish FLVs in the publish settings, however, I only see the Captivate file when checking the folder to which it was published.  Note that also enabled Connect metadata in the publish settings.

So in summary the course plays but FLVs embedded and referenced by the course do not.

I published as a zip file and loaded  the zip but I could not determine how to get Connect to unzip and use the file.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks

Jeff

Understand that Captivate 5 should only be used with Connect 8 or higher because of ActionScript 3. Are you trying to use Captivate 5 with Connect 7.5 or lower? If so, you cannot without risk of corruption of the Flash instance. AS2 is what you need for Conenct 7.5 or lower. AS3 is what is supported in Connect 8 so make sure of that.

When you upload a ZIP file to the folder on Connect that is all you need to do other than use the share pod to share the zip file. Connect knows how to open the zip and use it.

Thanks for the info on the zip file.  Will the zip file components show in the content management interface because I only see the one file as uploaded?

I am using Connect 8 SP1 so I should be good on the AS2/AS3 issue.  Connect plays FLV and F4V content beautifully, I just can't seem to get to do so in the context of a CP project.

Also,  I tried publishing the project to pdf which plays fantastic on Reader 9, including the videos and uploads to Connect just fine but will not play or display in my share pod.  I was hoping PDF would be a work around but no joy there.

No, the zip file is only displayed but when you use the share pod with the zip file all should display and play properly.

I just tested it on my own server and had no problem.

Can you share it with me? Have a way to send me a link to the file so I can take a look and make advise?  My email is hdrummon@adobe.com but I cannot receive email over 10 MB.
