Unable to Annotate on Whiteboard with Text — Adobe Connect Mobile on Ipad

Hello,

I am using Adobe Connect ( Version 2.7, downloaded from the App Store ) on my IPad( IOS Version 13.6) . As a spectator and during sessions, I am unable to annotate with Text on the whiteboard , as the menu options only have the pencil/ nib and drawing tools . 

How can I activate the TEXT icon in the IPad version— My professor prefers us to type on the whiteboard  And doesn't encourage writing with nib icon . Please help .
