Universal Audio vs. Integrated Voice

Hi. Currently our participants only have the option to call into our meetings via phone. But we would like to give them the option to also listen via their PCs. I've seen Universal Voice and Integrated Voice as possible solutions for this. What is the difference? Thanks.

    There are a few ways that UV can be used.

    UV on its own is an adapter that can call into a SIP compliant phone bridge  and allows for two way communication between VoIP and phone bridge users. This also allows Connect to record the audio from both sources.

    Integrated audio is an adapter that was created for a hand full of phone providers. These adapters allow for management of the phone bridge through the user interface in the Meeting. These can be used with or without the use of UV to bridge the phone audio to VoIP users. If UV is used with these adapters, the audio can be recorded in Connect or with the phone bridge provider. If UV isn't used, the audio will be recorded on the phone bridge provider side and then pushed to Connect for use in the recording.

    Hi, 

     

    It is possible to have some attednees dialed into Integrated Audio and also some connected via VOIP and to push them into breakouts without losing attednees or crashing the meeting?  It seems to be a glitch in the system because I have not been able to have this work seamlessly without crashes.

    I don't think the audio causes a crash, but you can't do mixed audio (VoIP and telephone) when using breakout rooms.

    Universal voice allows for broadcast audio, but you can't control the audio from the meeting interface like you can with integrated Audio which only works with a list of less than a dozen providers of audio.  We have some nice videos that talk about these services on our video tutorial page: Clarix Technologies| Video Tutorials for Adobe Connect and Captivate Prime
