Using AdobeConnect for a job interview

Hello.  I'll be using AdobeConnect for the first time for a job interview this Wednesday.  I have a Dell netbook, Windows 7.  The school sent me the sign-on link to use for the interview.   My computer has a built-in camera and microphone.  Will they come on once the interview is started?  I've clicked on the link the school sent but of course nothing is happening b/c it's not time yet for the interview.  How will i know if my camera and mikes are working?  The school said the IT guy will get me set up 15 minutes before the start of the interview, but I just want to know ahead of time.  I'm kind of nervous.  Thank you everyone for any tips/advice you can share!!

When you join the session, the Microphone and Webcam will not likely start automatically.  I suggest wearing earbuds for a good experience, not knowing your laptop, and when they are ready, you will click on a share my webcam button in the meeting and click ok when it asks you to allow access to your camera.  It should only take a moment.
