Using Connect for one-way video stream broadcast?

I'm considering using my Connect service as the vehicle for the public broadcast of a live event for which the audience is presumed to be well below my maximum attendee limit, and I'm wondering if anyone else is using it like that? The Connect room would consist of only two pods: the Video Pod and a Closed Caption Pod. There would be no interactivity per se as none of the participatory pods (Chat, Poll, Q&A, Whiteboard etc.) would be made available.

Is anyone using it like this and, if so, can you share some of your experiences. Have you discovered any problems?
