Using Tandberg to a Connect Pro Meeting

Hi,

Is it possible to connect a Tandberg 3000 unit into the meeting room. I'm not going to connect a video conference meeting into the connect pro meeting, I just want to be able to use the Tandberg 3000 unit, with camera and sound in the connect pro meeting room.

Anyone with experience from this?

It should work so long as you can hook it up to a computer as a video/audio input device.

If the computer recognizes it as that (usually via USB or Fire Wire) then it should work without issue.

Jorma is right. This should work - if you you can get the video into a computer.

I have not tried this with a Tandberg 3000 - but have been successful with Tandber 800, 880 and 95s. You will need a video capture device. I have used ADS devices - http://www.usb-ware.com/ads-video-xpress.htm but you can search for USB to video for other options.

Then, patch the video and audio out from the Tandberg (the cables that go to your TV or projection unit) to the video capture device and choose the device inside the Connect room. It works great.
