Very basic question, new to acrobat

We recently purchased Acrobat Professional for the express purpose of being able to scan forms and then fill in the forms and save them on our harddrive. When I scan the forms either as a PDF or form I am not able to fill them in. What am I doing wrong?

    I have similiar problem. I conferted Word form to PDF but do not see ability to make interactive. I used Adobe Help glossary already, no luck. I do know Benadette that it is called making a form interactive. I am using a trial version if you have full version you should be able to get customer support help. Let me know what you find out if so.
