Video Camera instead of webcam?

Working with a customer who is curious if Adobe Connect will recognize a Panasonic HC-X920 camcorder instead of his webcam.  Is there a specific adapter he would want to get so it would be recognized?  What settings would need to be enabled or adjusted in both Connect and their OS?

It probably won't recognize it as the OS needs to see it as a webcam for Connect to access it. For Windows there is a tool called DVdriver, DVdriver: DV Camcorder to WebCam Converter Software by Eagletron 2015-02-05, which lets the Windows OS see your video input as a webcam.
