We still call it Breeze

Here's a bit of free market research: Everyone in our office still calls the product Breeze and calls a conference using it 'a Breeze.' As in, "I have no idea what you're talking about, let's jump on a Breeze" or "You clearly need me to walk you through this, I'm going to set up a Breeze."

Nobody has said, "Wouldn't this be simpler if we started an Adobe Acrobat Connect?"

Just thought you should know.

    Regardsless of it only being backend it would be really good if there were patch notes available for all of the upgrades.

    The curriculum engine in Breeze 5 was also serverely messed up. I hoping that we don't see anymore of those issues (eg. student completes a course - has a grade - curriculum doesn't reflect the completion).

    I have a list of changed at my office. I'll try and remember to post them Monday. T, you are right however... the majority of changes are in the background... and like you, the email history part is VERY nice for me...

    With the "change" from version 5 to version 6, I haven't found anywhere (or anyone) that knows exactly what changed for the upgrade! Can anyone refer me to some place that tells me what changed or just what I'll be gaining by going to version 6 - bugs fixed, enhancements, etc????

    This upgrade is primarily for reliability and stability. While there are a few minor feature enhancements (my favorite is the ability to email the chat history), the focus was more on items like reducing dropped connections, improving SSL latency to the point where it is now actually usable, fixing AD integration bugs and improving VoIP quality. I don't have a list of all changes or fixes, but these are a few of the ones I am aware of.

    Did anyone consider how much it would cost existing customers to handle the name change internally and with their customers? Care to guess?

    seriously not happy...

    How about for a public company that didn't put costs for this in their budget... oops! unplanned, unforecasted expenses...

    now the street is not happy...

    I am only heartened by the thought that tomorrow or the next day, I will find a free, OSS, peer to peer client that does the same thing without any enterprise infrastructure at all... then who is sorry? the enterprise.

    I agree with you on this, I find 'Adobe Acrobat Connect' too much of a mouthful and too similar to Adobe Acrobat (ie PDF writter). Breeze is short and simple.

    While I agree with all that has been said, our office is in fact making the switch and calling it "Connect". Even if we completely rebranded it to Breeze behind the scenes, our users would become confused when they see the plugin for Connect, which is not what they are running (after all, they're using this Breeze thing). Also, if they tried to troubleshoot on their own or did an internet search, they would also become confused since they would not find anything about "Breeze", and would call and ask what the difference is between "Connect" and "Breeze".

    We have, however, shortened the "Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional" mouthful to simply "Connect". An extra syllable, but not quite a mouthful.
