Question

What will happen when Adobe Connect changes to HTML5?

Is anyone worried about what will happen after this change? I've heard they are switching everything over to HTML5 very soon. When this occurs, do you think this will eliminate some of their functionality?

Adobe Connect's flexibility is why I love it so much. I hate it because of the bugs, but the good outweighs the bad.

What are your thoughts?

Very soon is a pretty vague timeline. It will be a while before Connect is an HTML5 only product. One of the clear issues is the lack of some functions in HTML5, so those issues will need to be figured out before a full shift happens.

I would expect a soft shift, where the Flash version remains available while an HTML5 version will be made available to those who need it. Once the ability/functions of the HTML version are equal to the Flash version then we will see a full shift. But I don't know that I see that in cards for the full shift in the near future.

That makes sense. Thanks!
