Whiteboards and Document Annotation Now Very Difficult to Use
Does anyone else find the recent updates to Connect infuriating?
Although they're a bit fiddly, I could probably live with the smaller buttons, but why does nearly everything now require additional clicks? If you wanted to write on a whiteboard, for example, you used to be able to just click the pen button and go - now it asks you what type of pen you require. Colour selection is even worse, so if you want to change pen/shape and colour, it requires lots of clicking.
Sharing documents is the same - you used to be able to go straight to your own content or shared content, but now there's an extra step - you have to say whether you want a new document or an existing document before you get the choice of personal or shared.
And as for annotating documents, e.g. PDFs, it's almost unusable. Documents can start jigging up and down on their own, sometimes the participants don't see the same thing as you (i.e. a different scroll position), and when you do scroll, sometimes it scrolls the document and sometimes it just scrolls the annotation so that it no longer lines up.
This is the same in both the Windows and MacOS versions of the app, but I have noticed that the apps are now different - the Applications tab is back for screen share in the Windows version, but not the MacOS version.
Is this driving everyone else mad too?
