Will future versions not require a desktop app?

Currently on v11. We've seen a few other tools that do allow you to screen share from the browser. Even though it can be a security issue, and does often require tweaking some browser settings, we still like that capability. Anyone know if it is on the road map to enable screen sharing from a browser-based meeting? Thanks!

It's been discussed internally with the Connect product team, but it all comes down to performance and ease of use. At this point the expected future of Connect will require the App. But, future technology means anything could change with a later version of Connect.
