.wmv File in Powerpoint Session

I have a PowerPoint presentation with an embedded .wmv sound file. It plays properly on the Host's PC, but the Participants don't hear it, even though microphone audio transmits properly. Is there a way to play such embedded sound files in Connect? Or am I trying to do something that isn't supported?

Thanks much!

It sounds like you are trying to share your PPT via screen sharing. Understand that, as Grant indicated, when you screen share you only share your screen, no audio comes with it. At the same time if you upload the PPT directly to the Connect room it will also drop the audio file. Using the mic on a screen share may work out for you.

You may also want to look to something like Adobe Presenter or Adobe Captivate to bring in the audio in a method that allows you to put the presentation in the share pod with it's audio.

You have to get the sound from your workstation into the meeting room so others can hear. This is normally your mic.
To play sound from an application, get a patch cord (usually a mini to mini). Plug one end into the sound output on your workstation (where you normally plug in speakers) and the other end into the line in or mic in jack. You will also have to change your sound card configurations to play the sound rather than your mic and change your settings inside the Connect room to enable that audio.
The other way - try converting the wmv file to flv or swf. Those file formats work.
