"You are not registered" error for event registered person

Hi

During an Adobe Connect with Event Manager event today I received 5 emails of individuals unable to join the event.

The were replying to the event reminder message, they appeared to be registered for the event as they received the appropriate event reminder messages.

As they attempted to join the event, they receive an error stating they are not registered for the event (this from clicking on the join the event link from the reminder message)

One mentioned this has occurred to him previously and it's frustrating.

What can I do to prevent or eliminate this problem of registered users unable to join an event?

thanks,

Fred

Fred,

The best path for an answer may be to reach out to Adobe Support, they can review what happened from the server side and help identify why these individuals were being told they were not registered. You can reach the Connect Support team here: https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/connect-support.html

Adobe Connect Help | Adobe Connect Support

This could be something that comes from them using the incorrect login credentials, something that isn't working correctly on Connect's end, or something else we can't identify from your description of the events.

Is the link to join the event a direct entry link or a link to the log in page?

Are you allowing users to join without using a password?

Are you allowing social media logins? Did they join using that or a more traditional username and password within Connect?

Are they registered but not approved for the event? Can you confirm that they don't show Approval Pending in their status for the event?

As you can see there are a lot of possible paths that could lead to issues, so a little more information will help. Of course, we don't have access to your account here, so any information I provide is going to be without the benefit of the insight of your account.

Thanks Jorma,

The support folks took a few days to sort it out, yet it seems one of the reminder emails sent from the event manager, sending a you are registered for the event starting in an hour message was being addressed to all invited rather than approved people, thus those that did not register for the event received a notice as if they did.

Not sure how that happened and now extra careful reviewing the email settings

Cheers,

Fred

Thanks for the follow up. Sounds like bug, I hope Adobe can address it quickly.
