Liebe Community,

Susanne

Hello Cecilia,

Welcome to the 3D community!

On our side, Substance 3D Modeler is a great way to model 3D objects! This is a very unique and pleasing way to sculpt, and you can get a free trial version if you need to try it first.

With that being said, I am not a 3D print expert, so I'll let you take a look on other propositions on the market to find what suits your needs.

Have a nice day.

Hi Cyrill,

Thank you very much for your immediate reply to my post. I have an Adobe subscription for all Adobe programs, so I can easily install and use all of those programmes named "Substance xxx". However, I need to take the right and most convenient way to scan 3D objects, take them into a suitable programme to check whether they were scanned properly and then export or save those objects in a 3D print-compliant format.

Maybe these steps help to understand better what I am looking for. Which of those "Adobe Substance xxx" programmes offers the easiest handling steps for me to reach my targets?

Kind regards

Susanne

Thank you for the clarification.

Our dedicated 3D software for scanning is Substance 3D Sampler. With it, you should perfectly be able to turn your pictures into scan and check if your mesh was scanned as planned. From Substance Sampler, you can export a mesh to multiple formats (USD/USDA/USDZ, glTF/GLB, obj, fbx, stl).

So to answer your question, Adobe Substance 3D Sampler should be the soft to install.

Here is a link to the video presentation of our 3D capture.

Best regards,
