Adding really small stiches in substance painter makes it really blur even in texture quality 2k and 4k can anyone suggest if I am doing anything wrong or this is the problem with uv

Hello @Sayyad35537080mi96,

The issue could indeed come from the UV islands size. Can I have a look at those?

Hello Cyril
Please have a look on my uv and tell me if they are the culprit of getting out bad details in substance painter using alpha brushes in small size.

Hi @Sayyad35537080mi96,

Thanks for sharing the .FBX file.

Some of the UV sets have indeed small UV islands considering the place they have, but the chair itself seems okay.

The "quality" of your textures always depend on how many pixels you're using to define it. Therefore, switching the Texture Set to a higher resolution (e.g. 2048 to 4096) is increasing the number of pixels defining the image, so it increase the "quality".

However, the size of each UV islands are also defining the number of pixels in use. You can resize some of those in order to take more place on its set. Although, the available place on a single texture set is limited, and that's why we usually spread UVs in several UV tiles (also named UDIM).

You can try to split the current chair UVs in several UDIM, and see if the result is better. In addition filters like "Sharpen" can help diminish blurry effects.
