API - Javascript vs Python

Hello! Our pipeline was built quite a few years ago using custom painter plugins built on javascript. I was wondering if the Javascript API was planned to be deprecated for Python in the near future of if both will be maintained for the time being?

Hello David,

 

Javascript will be maintained, and we will obviously work on potential occuring issues. Therefore, your plugins should always work with the application.

 

That being said, the focus is indeed currently more on Python, which offers more functionalities. In addition, you can call Javascript functions through Python.
