I was approved for 1 year but the application only shows 1 month, I am unable to request help because this is a school account.

you appear to be discussing something (eg, substance 3d) other than a cc subscription. post the link from adobe.com that shows the one year trial you are discussing.

I don't know of any 1 year trial. In any case you will get help from the IT department of your school, so contact them. The following link should help you figure out as whom to contact.
