Question

Baked Lighting Environment filter produces different results in Adobe version

Hi all

After upgrading to Adobe Painter I have an issue with the Baked Lighting Environment filter. The baked lighting suddenly seems way darker than before. Does anybody have an idea of what is going on. Could it be some setting outside the filter that may have been reset or maybe a bug?

I have attached a picture from my old Allegorithmic Painter and one From adobe Painter to illustrate the difference

I tried both available Filters:

  • baked env
  • baked lighting material

The issue I am running into:
The light source and shadow information doesn't get baked into the difuse map.
Not visible at all.

I posted this issue a while ago. Just doesn't work on my end.
Would be interesting to know if your baked lighting material works.

thanks for sharing,
cheers

one more note:

the sun, skylight and two lights seem to be very limited when it comes to the control of the light distribution, the shadows and the overall look and feel.

I would need to be able to create my entire unique lighting scenario (setup) to control light intensity, shadows, bounces, colors, etc. to achieve a specific look. But that doesn't seem to be doable with the current options provided.
