[Baking Issues] Please help! Thank you

I can't get my high to bake on my low right. It seems to bake slightly. but there are roung edges. some doesn't bake at all. I used match by mesh name. every proportional mesh is the same exact except _high and _low. I have tried all with front and rear distances.

I fixed the padding and the mesh names, and it only bakes partially.

The issue isn't really the padding, this size of your UV shells are. All of your UDIM look like this one:

 

 

Unfortunately, your UV shells are too small to have enough pixels to do anything. You'll need to clean the UVs before trying to bake or bake matching by mesh name.

Thanks for the message and all the assets. This greatly helps troubleshooting.

 

Since the 8.3 version of Substance 3D Painter, you now have acess to a baking log, helping you to check where there are issues. In the project, we can see there are 107 meshes that don't have a High or Low Poly match.

 

 

This is the reason why some parts are baked some aren't.

 

 

On another note, I strongly advise you to rework your UVs. The UV islands should take as much space as they could in their UV tile. With the current UV display, you have a lot of chances to see some new problems appear during your work.

I'm confused, because I thought for sure that I had everything matched _ low and _ high. I'll recheck the files. Also, nothing bakes completely. a lot of them bake slightly and still have hard lines at the seams.

The artifacts at the seams are due to the size of your UV islands. There isn't enough pixels to make a clean transition without padding. Make sure to correct the UVs, and that every part named in the baking log has a match.
