Is there really no way to break the connection between instanced layers and the original?

Hi @Dmitry29380236o1wz,

Unfortunately, this is not how the layer instancing was designed, so no there is no way of breaking the connection. With that being said, I can see some specific situations where you would need it, and I can share the idea to the team.

Best regards,

Hey Cyril,
If you could share this idea with the team, that would be great!
In my experience here are some situations where instances break :
-converting a group folder with instances into a smart material
-grouping or re-arranging layers that are instances or were instanced
