creating exhaust streaks

Hi Michael — just following up on Cyril's answer above: the gradient-based setup he linked is the right approach for these heat/exhaust streaks, especially his point about switching the gradient colours to match your reference instead of keeping the Steel Temper colours as they are.

One small addition: if the streaks still don't sit right, let us know your Painter version and share a screenshot of your layer stack — that makes it much easier to fine-tune the setup.

I also remember a user on Discord who shared awesome gradient for Steel Temper:

I know these colors are not exactly what you’re looking for, but they are still worth sharing. On your end, I would simply switch the color of the gradient to better fit your reference.
