exported Base color map different from viewport/Uv inside substance

Hello!

 

I am fairly new to texturing. I noticed my exported diffuse map looks VERY different than what I see in substance. My metal simply doesn't show up in some places and when it does there's this weird effect instead of clean cut edges? There's no metal once imported in maya either.

 

What could cause this?
