Exporting formats

Hello,

Is there a way to export as scaled tilable shader instead of a material made only for the UV maps? In other words, is it possible to export as it is on the preview sphere BUT after the changes made for the mesh (scale and other changes).

Maybe I'm still missing something, but it pretty much sounds like you're talking about creating a new material. if you want to create a new material trough Substance 3D Painter, you could work on a new project with a simple plane mesh (native UVs of a plane take the entire texture set).

Another solution would be to create a smart material from the current layers. Slide all the layers in a group and RMB on the group > Create Smart material. This way, your custom material would be added in your library.

Best regards,

Hello @arthenics,

I am not entirely sure to get the question. What are the changes made for a mesh? The scale of a material can always be changed trough the tiling. Do you have maybe some visuals you could share?

Keep me posted,

Hello,

It's more general than related to a specific mesh or texture.

Considering a texture.

For a mesh : I change the repeat (for example from 1 I change for 12), I add a metallic or a rough, maybe I add a filter etc.

I was wondering if there is a way to export, somehow like a new texture, without the UV map projection (more on less a no-baked texture, a new texture with different parameters). Some kind of "universal" shader (If course baking and uv maps are still needed for a normal or height map but I'm more interested in rough, metallic, and base color)
