Hello!

Does anybody know a strategy/ workflow on how to import packaging design done in AI and fold in Fantastic Fold and imported into  Substance 3D Painter? so it can be animated in AE... (I've seen workflow from AI to FF to DN and then to AE but using Videocopilot which I do own but I want to try Painter workflow to add more details). I also tried FF to Blender using UDIM uvpackmaster3 and then to Painter but the artwork doesn't align properly with the model. If anyone knows, I would appreciate it.  Thank you.

Hi Cyril Dellenbach,

thanks for responding to me. I have solved my issue... before importing to Pt , I noticed I had auto-unwrap checked, which is why the artwork wasn't aligning with the UV. silly mistake

Hello @default5g5d43chnzmw,

To be honest, in all the mentioned software, I'm only used to Substance Painter, so pardon me if I'm a bit off my game.

What file can you export from Fantastic Fold? Can you export a .FBX or something similar? If so, I'm pretty sure UVs will be the Dielines from Fantastic Fold, therefore the worflow in Painter should be pretty easy.

From Painter to After effects, we've recently added a feature for this specific purpose. The Send to AE option is pretty straightforward, so you should directly have your 3D file with its texture in AE.
