Question

How to acquire 'substance3d.adobe.com/assets' when using Steam version?

I have the Steam version of Painter and Designer. Having previously had Allegorthmic versions, I had a bunch of asset points on source.substance3D.com. Those are all gone now, due to the change in January that wiped all points.

If I want to download asset now, it seems the only option I have is to subscribe to the full Substance subscription, which gives access to the apps that I already have.

How are users with perpeutual licenses (from steam or earlier versions) meant to acquire assets from substance3d.adobe.com/assets these days?

Hello @dang14894793,

These days, Steam users have access to more than 1'000 assets, but not the entire library.

A few months ago we sent multiple e-mails to let users know the point system was going down, so they could download all resources they wanted before the system change. Let me know if you can find what you need with the 1'000 assets.

Best regards,

I've checked my email, including spam, and unfortunately I never received any emails from Adobe related to this change. I only noticed yesterday that this had already happened several months ago, and all my points were already gone as a result. I'm also on the 2024 steam versions, so the link you provided isn't compatible with my license. Is there a chance I could be grandfathered with, say, a month of access so I can grab a few of the materials I would have downloaded if I'd known?

So it seems that, moving forward, the only way for Steam users to acquire SBSARs is to redundantly subscribe the entire Substance subscription? There's no other way for me to acquire individual SBSARs from 'substance3d .adobe.com'  outside of a subscription?

Thanks.
