I am a complete beginner :c and I have a problem. My mesh looks weird after I exported it

I exported it from blender to Substance Painter as fbx . On the material tab, it looks like the mesh was damaged. It should not look like that because it is smooth on both low and high poly models. Why does it behave like that so I could learn from this experience and fix it?

Correct answer Cyril Dellenbach

If they're only appearing at baking, this is surely due to the High Poly mesh. You should check that its shape is similar to the Low Poly to avoid artifacts.

Hi @Iryna37518717rafr,

Thank you for the message.

From the screenshot, I'd say there are probably overlapping UV islands. Can I have a look at the 2D view?

Let me know.

Actually you are correct, I unwrapped the objects separately but ,at the end of the day, they overlap each other, which is something I didn't expect but really good to know. Thank you soooo much, going to check how it looks like now that I remade it
