Image is stretching and fading

I need help figuring out why an image will stretch and fade. Is it something to do with the UV map?

Take a look at both the UV unwrap and the projection method you are using to project the image onto the surface.

    Hi Dave,

     

    I appreicate the reply. I normally do the wrap projection. I think it is mainly the UV thing I think but im very new to all of this so im not sure how UV things work exactly, only a basic idea
