Instantiate across textures is greyed out

Im trying to follow a video frrom the orginal substance before the takeover and it says right click on your base layer and choose instaniate across textures ..Mines greyed out and no idea why it is

Why do you want to instantiate across texture sets whereas you have only one texture set ?

in the tutorial there are more than one Texture Set: there are 3. In your screenshot there is only 1.
