Is there a way to change the shape of an imported alpha?

So we all know these alpha packs we create or buy at various markets are set up to more or less "fit" a specific size model but what if you have a need to elongate or squish an alpha to better fit a model of a different size or shape?  I've tried overcoming this wall in Photoshop but it's really a finicky issue like this so my question is there a way to make this happen from within Substance Painter?

If not would this seem like a viable and useful thing to suggest be implemented?

Thanks so much

Richard

Hi Richard,

I hope you're doing well.

It depends how the Alpha is being used. I personally love the Warp Projection (also known as Decal) and often use my Alphas trough this Projection. This way, I am perfectly able to resize it as I wish.

But if you use the asset as an Alpha for the Brush, there's unfortunately no solution to resize it inside Substance Painter.

Best regards,

OK, thank you Cyril.  Yea, I'm using the Alpha as just that, an alpha to drive what the brush lays down.

Example.  I'm working to create more detail under the eye of a character I'm working on.  the alpha brush when made too big puts detail where I don't want it but if I had controls to stretch it out on the X I'd be able ot use the brush's alpha at a size that better fits on the characters face.

I understand. That would be nice to have an option to stretch the alpha out. I'm considering this thread as a feature request and I'll share it to the team.
