Question

Issues when baking (odd spots, artefacts)

I have issues when I’m baking my 3D model from Maya. Map resolution 1024

•The UV’s are good, with space in between.

•cut the UV’s differently

• adding material to each object

•adding a cage

•separate parts in Maya export and then project configurated the “exploded” fbx file to bake and see if that helped.

I am confused and hoping someone can spot my mistake(s)?

Hello @NyanKub,

Thanks for the message,

My first guess would be the Max frontal distance. Have you already tried to increase the native numbers? If this still doesn't work, I'd love to take a look at the project. Would you mind to send me the assets, so I can take a deeper look?

Let me know,

Hello Cyril,

Yes, i have already tried to play with the frontal distance without results and native numbers. I would appreciate you for taking a look at it.

Best regards,

Jolie

Hi @Jolie Kubini22415511wkfm,

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to reproduce the issue.

Did you use a High Poly mesh? Did you use exactely the same asset you sent me? Which Substance 3D Painter version are you using?

Keep me updated.
