Question

Low quality textures

Hi, I'm having a problem with textures in the 3D view. When I add or paint them, they look fine, but when I move my object or rotate the lighting, the texture quality drops. I can disable and enable any channel, and it works, but when I rotate or change the lighting angle, the quality drops again. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

Hello Juan,

What's your hardware specifications?

My hardware is very limited, but this didn't happen in previous versions of Substance 3D Painter. I don't know if the software automatically limits the quality of my textures, or why this is happening.

The strange thing is that when I create a layer or paint on the model, it looks fine. The problem appears when I rotate the lighting, and if I make an adjustment, for example to the roughness, it looks fine again. Rotating the lighting or moving the model causes the error to appear.

Unfortunately, this is due to a lack of VRAM. This issue usually occurs when there's no dedicated GPU and considering it's way under our minimum requirements, the problem probably won't (can't) be solved.

If you DO have a dedicated GPU, I advise you to create a 3D profile in the Nvidia Panel to make sure Painter uses the proper GPU.
