No option to activate with adobe account, only the old substance account

I just renewed my subscription through the new adobe account for the texturing plan. When I go to launch substance painter, I get the Activation Wizard window. It has three options; Evaluate the product, Active with a license file and activate using my substance3d account.

I un-installed the program and then re-installed with the latest build.

I am currently paying for a product I cannot access. Please advise.

Did you download the CC desktop application, sign in and install the apps via that. There should be no need to separately activate if you do that.

Well that did it. I've been running photoshop without the cc app so I did not register that as being the issue. I could download painter from the website and without downloading the cc app, so it did not seem to be a requirement. Evidently it is.
