Smart Mask Unaware of UV Boundaries

Hello all, I was working a model I got froma wesbite and I wanted to use a smart mask for a pattern. I unwrapped the UV for symmetry as well. The issue i'm facing is that the smart mask is generating a line down the middle of the mdeol and I dont know why.
